**Band:** Afsky
**Album:** Fællesskab
**Genre:** Black Metal
**Country:** Denmark
**Label:** Eisenwald
**Released:** October 17, 2025

## **Introduction**

Danish black metal veterans Afsky release their fourth beautiful blend of melancholy and guitar driven album, Fællesskab.

## Fællesskab

Fællesskab’s first track, Velkommen til livet, begins with an old Danish folk song vinyl that skips and then winds down into a draining obscurity with a stormy background entering melancholic guitar riffs. The musicality of this song alone with the rich texture of guitars, bass notes, and drum fills & patterns leashes into Ole screaming each verse with melancholy.

The riffs alone are so hypnotic that it is easy to let yourself get caught up within the music itself. Each song is embellished with so much feeling, it really hits the listener’s heart emphasizing what Ole may be going through. I feel the lead work is done nicely between each verse and chorus break that they gel so nice with one another in each song, that it seems like Ole has been doing this for longer than ten years, and I am willing to bet that he has.

> **Track List:**

> 1\. Velkommen til livet
> 2\. Den der ingenting ved tvivler aldrig
> 3\. Natmaskinen
> 4\. Arveskam
> 5\. Flagellanternes sang
> 6\. Svanesang

Another thing I am happy with is how each song’s musicality blends so well with one another. I can honestly say the production on this album was well put together and that no instrument is overdone or drowns another out. The Vocals on this album are blended perfectly with the musicality on this album making sure the listener can hear every sad note in each song.

## **Conclusion**

It seems as if Ole is putting out top quality albums with this project each time. His fans are always waiting to hear what he will produce next. I’ve been a fan of this band for about ten years, and just in awe of each album and EP he has since released. He has a fanbase that is always eager for exciting material to come out, and this one surely did not disappoint!

**BMZ Rating:** 9 of 10
