In this series, we take a look at some bands that necessarily do not get as much attention as they deserve. It will be based on particular countries, sub-genres, or scenes, and to make it easy for ourselves, we have chosen Norway to kick things off.
Norwegian black metal, we all know of the more famous bands, but the scene has a lot more gems to offer. Below you will find 5 bands we believe are worth your attention, so check them out and let us know what your impression is.
Andakt:
One man project by Savarak, also of Raumer. Ritulistic, shamanic and satanic black metal. Bombastic and in your face, very excited for what is next for this project.

Ene:
Another one man project, but this music is stripped back more to the core. Drums, guitar and bass. Think early Burzum. This is a great soundtrack accompanying your daily walk in the forest.

Moor:
Forest metal from the west coast of Norway. Fast-paced and riff-packed.

Feigd:

Myrholt:
Not to break the theme for this first article in the series, Myrholt is another one-man band. This one hailing from the northern part of Norway, simply called Norland. Myrholt clearly draws inspiration from his surroundings, and this makes for some great black metal, make sure to check out some of their albums!
