Introduction
ArsGoatia is the brainchild of Bartholomäus Resch (Ex-Belphegor), the guy behind the occult “House Of The Holy” festival hosted by Funkeflug Society.
This band is filthy as fuck and disgusting as hell. A bunch of wonderful scumbags and a jewel of an album. Fantastic vocals, Everything from the haunted black metal shrieks to the clean vocals, choirs and the use of female vocals works superb.
Very good riffs and great guitar solos. I love the style of their drummer. Everyone is doing a formidable job on this album. Arsgoatia sounds both classic and original simultaneously. They definitely have a sound and distinct style that makes them stand out.
The album effortlessly and continuously changes forms. From old school black metal, blasting thrash, doom and chilling ritualistic hypnotizing themes. Delicate use of disharmonies.
The songs are well arranged and vary a lot in rhythm and style. Intelligent use of tempo changes are a plus and, of course, I appreciate the mandatory 750m/s delay on the vocals as used in black metal since the early 90s. All in all, this album is very enjoyable for those who like twisted and obscure, sick music.

Conclusion
Well performed songs with great musicianship all over the line. An album that keeps the listener engaged and probably my personal favorite so far in 2025. The band has tons of personality which results in an album that is overall very dark with a grim old school atmosphere I really like.
A truly disgusting band with loads of attitude Austria can be proud of.
