Information

As you might have guessed, we review black metal or blackened genres. If you made an EP or Album that fits one of those descriptions, we want to hear what you made.

As said, we accept Black metal and blackened subgenres (black 'n roll, blackened death, atmospheric, DSBM, etc.). Please note: If it's not black metal or at least blackened, we're not the right zine for you.

Submissions

There are various ways to send us your music. For bands that want to send us their music, there are 3 options, both are listed below.

Option 1 and the preferred one: Bandcamp codes are the easiest way to get your album to all our reviewers. We can distribute them across the team without messing with file transfers or download links. If you can send Bandcamp codes, do that.

Option 2:  If Bandcamp codes aren't an option, send us a download link with the music files in it (FLAC or WAV preferred) to music[at]blackmetalzine.com. We'd rather have Bandcamp codes, but we get it, not everyone uses Bandcamp.

Option 3: Physical copies CDs, vinyl, tapes are all welcome. Email us at music[at]blackmetalzine.com, and we'll give you the shipping address.

What happens next We listen to everything that comes in, but we all have jobs and lives outside this zine, so reviews can take a while. Sometimes they don't happen at all.

Please be aware, that we won't respond to every email about reviews. So if you haven't heard back from us, do know that we received it, and we will listen to it. This goes for digital and physical submissions alike. If we review it, you'll know. If we don't, it's nothing personal.
