Introduction
Noitasade is a Finnish, one man, black metal project formed in 2023 by K. Rhema.

It’s as haunting as it is beautiful. An eerie landscape of distorted guitars and far off shrieked vocals. “Anatomi Av Livslösa” is a droning, melancholic wasteland. It’s almost more of an ambient instrumental track at times. “Kaikki Tiet Johtavat Suohon” is a bit more melodic and driven. While still maintaining that droning, frozen atmosphere of the first track, it explores the same elements while broadening some of musical textures. Definitely my favorite of the two tracks. The production is quite good. The instruments maintain an audible balance while still upholding the raw quality that this type of black metal is known for. The vocals sit at just the right spot in the mix to achieve a cold, almost far away vibe without being intrusive to the music itself, while still adding to the demo’s atmosphere as a whole.
Conclusion
Overall it’s an interesting demo. I wish there were a couple more tracks to unpack here, but all in all it’s a promising start. Hopeful to hear more in the same vein in a full length release down the road. Fans of raw black metal and DSBM will surely enjoy it.
